What the house must do — and what it must never. Written down, argued over, signed.
02 — THE SURVEY
Every level, every drain, every neighbour's window. The site measured until it stops surprising us.
03 — THE DRAWING SET
Forty sheets before a single order is placed. The house is built here first, at 1:50.
04 — PERMISSIONS
Planners, conservation officers, building control. We present drawings they can trust, and it shows.
05 — GROUNDWORK
The part nobody photographs. The part that decides everything above it.
06 — THE FRAME
Oak and steel, plumb to three millimetres. The week the house stops being a drawing.
07 — THE ENVELOPE
Closed in before winter, then tested with a fan door until the needle stops moving.
08 — THE FIT-OUT
Joinery from our own bench. Bronze aged in the yard. The slow half of the fast half.
09 — HANDOVER
A single key, a maintenance book, a standing invitation to call us before anyone else.
