Dartmoor does not schedule around you. Nine days of rain sat on the Whitstone trenches and turned the site into a lesson about why the programme has float in it. We pumped, sheeted, and did what you do when the ground says no: we went to the bench.
By the time the trenches drained, the window joinery for the whole east elevation was finished, fitted dry in the workshop, and waiting. The house handed over on the day the contract said it would. Rain costs you a week only if you have nowhere else to be useful.
